In 2022, The creation of "Decisive Moment : The Lion King" had became JQ's favorite. This artwork was a result of a project within the "Illustration and Visual Narrative" module titled "Decisive Moment". The assignment involved a tracing task, which challenged us to craft a minimalist poster and a GIF animation capturing a memorable moment from comics, film, or other narratives. I chose a scene from "The Lion King" where Timon encourages Simba by playfully booping his nose. The dialogue in the scene resonated with me: Timon's question, "Bad things happen, but we can't do anything about it, right?" and Simba's initial agreement, followed by Timon's spirited correction, "WRONG!"

This moment highlighted the idea that despite facing adversity, there's always a way to overcome challenges. It's this message of resilience and hope that made the artwork particularly meaningful to JQ.
